What is not to love about this printer?

Scanning/Copying:
* Via flatbed or document feeder.

Printing:
* Two paper trays, one letter and one photo. Oh, and the letter feed prints TWO-sided, which I’ve never seen on an under 0 printer.
* Prints labels directly onto CDs and DVDs. You do need to buy the special HP printable disques to use that, though.
* Oh, and it prints directly from SD, XD, MS/DUO or Compact Flash cards or Bluetooth (from my Droid directly to 4×6 glossy photos with NO MIDDLEMAN).
* AND it’s wifi, so you can just plug it in anywhere in your house and turn it on.
* Oh, and also, it’s got three separate, dedicated C/M/Y cartridges, so you don’t have to buy a whole colour cartridge just because you’re low on blue!

Fax:
* Supposedly has this, but were are now in the Year of Our Lord Two-Thousand-and-Ten. We have e-mail attachments, free and plentiful. What, do you want a mimeograph while you’re at it?

Works in Linux!
* It’s already defined in CUPS (as long as you know that it’s defined as “Photosmart C309a” instead of “CC335A”, but CUPS is like Carnac when it comes to auto-guessing); just add it in your control panel and you’re good to go.

All that, and I snagged one for under 175 Yankee dollars. Easily the best printer I’ve ever purchased.
