My son was really looking forward to starting his summer bridge book this year. Overall, the activities are just the right level for K-1. The book gets more challenging as you get to the end, which is perfect to get ready for school by the end of the summer. They recommend just a page or two per day, but I think that would depend on the child. And I think this version is an improvement over the previous version–more varied activities incorporating social sciences in with the math and reading.
