Finally got tired of paying for a lease modem/router since I did that to check out the DSL in the area first. I went with the Actiontec as that was what Qwest was using for their lease and I would like to think that they would use something that was reliable.

Setup was not a problem except….the factory setting for access to the internet was not the correct one for Qwest. I called Qwest and they helped me through the set-up with no problems. I had called Actiontec first but their message states that they will not be able to assist you until you have called the ISP first and them as a last resort, hmmm, not the best indicator of tech support.

The unit works fine so far and I am expecting it to continue to do so as others had given it very good reviews overall. I usually take the best and the worst reviews and read them before I discard them and then use the rest of the reviews as the benchmark. There are always those whose remarks are the ones that you read and think of what an idiot or that they will bitch about most anything just ofor the sake of being able to bitch. You can’t please everyone.
